Livn It Southern Soul Style
Back In The Day When You went to A concert You felt That You were At A Special Place
You Paid Big Money To See an Attraction
The Attractions were Polished and Professional After The Show You Felt like it Was Worth The Money
Went To A Show Recently to see One Of The So-called Hot Upcoming Acts
This Kid Had Pretty Good Chops, But The First Thing I Noticed was He and his band looked like they had just walked in off the street.
Is there noone grooming these kids?Is there is no one explaining to them the importance
of becoming an attraction.
So The Question is :.What is acceptable attire for the stage ?

Very little artist development going on, independent or otherwise. Doo rags and saggy pants even from Blues and Southern Soul artist. Wrinkled from head to toe. make up from the day before w/no refreshing. Tattered, matted weaves, dirty bra straps (my pep peeve) and collars rings from last week. Just off the street, how 'bout just out of bed!
Sadly many young artists don't understand the term SHOW BUSINESS a lot of average artists in terms of vocal ability have had long and very successful careers simply because the know how to entertain and give the people not just music but a visual show, if you just wanna hear music you can stay home and listen in any number of ways.Young artists need to understand much of there income will come from live shows. I think also audiences have to some degree come to expect less, Now i don't wanna sound like one of the good old days brigade but many young artists could learn so much if they took the time to learn the business as a whole not just clowning around and playing superstar when they don't have no sparkle.....and audiences if they don't give a SHOW don't give your money...Just my thoughts www.thescienceofsoul.com
ACCEPTABLE ATTIRE IN MY OPINION IS BEING ABLE TO WALK INTO THE VENUE AND EVERYBODY KNOWS AUTOMATICALLY THAT YOU ARE SOMEBODY SPECIAL!!!
agree with that entirely.
Right on point Cassie
