Why are so many good blues singer so under rated???

Hello people, I've been wanting to ask this question for a long time. Why is it that local recording artist don't get their just dew in this business of music. Why doesn't the music industry recognize blues music and artist's the way that they do other music in the media?? I would like to see the day that cerimonies, award parties and things of a sort would hit the tv and radio waves like the rest of the awards shows I see on tv. What do yall think???
