| Raw talent, polished, smooth and understated is the best way to describe the sensational singer/songwriter Tony “Tee” Tatum. The Saginaw, Michigan native knew very early on, that he wanted to sing. His journey began in 1999, while he was studying for an elementary education degree at Michigan State, when he accepted an offer for a ride from a friend, with only twenty dollars in his pocket and took the trip to Atlanta.
In 2005, when the opportunity came, Tatum auditioned for Keith Sweat in which Tatum impressed with his talent, he immediately began touring and singing background vocals for Sweat within the same week. “He is a great performer,” says Keith Sweat, “It was time for him to do his thing.”
Tony Tatum credits include performances with R&B music legends, among them Howard Hewett, New Edition, The O’Jays, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Charlie Wilson, Ne-Yo, and Tony Terry. In addition to his vocal chops, Tatum scores points for his song-writing skills, having garnered writing and co-writing credits alongside the likes of Omarion, Frankie J, Usher, super producer Jazze Pha, and others. Tony Tatum is currently promoting his new Southern Soul smash hit “I Need A Woman” produced by Gasner Allen who has produced songs for R.Kelly, Keith Sweat, Joe, Tyler Perry, and many more.
